The Story Behind Rooh

Rooh Mind Care was founded on a simple belief: mental healthcare should be evidence-based, compassionate, confidential, and centred around you.

Founded by Anamika Rawlani, Founder & Senior Clinical Psychologist, Rooh brings together clinical psychologists licensed by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), Government of India, counselling psychologists and a psychiatrist. We see clients in person in Lucknow, and online worldwide, united by a shared commitment to client‑centred care.

Anamika’s path began in Ranchi, at RINPAS and CIP, two of India’s oldest mental health institutes, and took her to NIMHANS, Bengaluru, for ICMR research. After 12+ years in practice, what she holds on to is simple: therapy should be “a safe space where the client can just be and speak freely.”

Our therapists work under experienced clinical supervision, helping us uphold high standards of ethical, evidence-based care.

A Space to Be Yourself

You should never have to hide a part of yourself to feel understood.

Rooh is queer-affirmative, neurodivergent-friendly, culturally sensitive, and inclusive of diverse identities, relationships, and lived experiences.

What Hurts Is Not Always What Is Visible

Behind anxiety may be fear.
Behind anger may be pain.
Behind perfectionism may be exhaustion.
Behind silence may be a story waiting to be heard.

At Rooh, we look beyond symptoms to understand the person behind them. Our aim is not simply to help you manage what you’re going through, but to support deeper self-understanding and meaningful, sustainable change.

You are more than a diagnosis. More than a symptom. You are a whole person with a story worth understanding.

Rooh Mind Care.

She holds an M.Phil from the Ranchi Institute of Neuro-Psychiatry and Allied Sciences (RINPAS), Ranchi, completed in 2014: the licensed clinical training that hospitals hire for, at one of India’s most prestigious mental health institutes, founded in 1925. She worked as a Research Officer on an Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) project at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru; ICMR is a Government of India medical research body, and NIMHANS is India’s leading mental health institute, often called the AIIMS of mental health, and an Institute of National Importance by Act of Parliament. During her training she assessed and treated more than 500 patients at RINPAS and at the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH), Mysuru, India’s premier institute for speech and hearing, under the Government of India’s Ministry of Health.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step. You’re welcome here.

She works with adolescents, young adults and adults who are trying to make sense of their experiences. Many of her clients come with concerns related to overthinking, career, self-doubt, bullying, feelings of inferiority, personality patterns, emotional difficulties, social isolation, shame, burnout, dating, trust issues, relationships, marriage, family dynamics and past experiences that continue to affect them.

Her work focuses on helping clients understand their attachment patterns, relationships and the challenges that come with adolescence and adulthood. She explores how past and present experiences shape one’s sense of self, relationships and ways of being in the world.

She also works with women dealing with body image concerns, low self-esteem, past trauma, anxiety and depression. She supports clients in learning how to set boundaries and feel more stable and secure in their relationships. In addition, she works with parents, women in the postpartum phase and working women managing multiple roles and responsibilities.

Her approach is humanistic, reflective and compassionate. She follows an integrative approach and is a certified practitioner in CBT, MBT and trauma-informed care.

She believes in a process-oriented way of working, where life stories, personal narratives and practical strategies come together to support growth and change. She aims to create a space that is safe, respectful and sensitive to each client’s cultural background and lived experiences.

She also has a keen interest in training and mentoring other clinicians in her areas of expertise.

"Therapy to me is creating a safe space where the client can just be and speak freely — that space which allows one to work on mental health and wellness, leading to personal growth and evolving." — Anamika Rawlani

I work in an IT company in Ontario, and since therapy is quite expensive here, I started looking for therapists online. That's when I came across Rooh Mind Care.

I honestly felt a sense of relief when I found the right therapist for me, Divyanshi Tolani. She is very sweet, understanding and one of the most compassionate therapists I've come across. She was also very flexible with my time zone and was kind enough to accommodate my sessions whenever I needed them.

If you have any time zone issues, don't forget to mention it to the Rooh Mind Care team. They are very understanding and will definitely try to accommodate your request.

We do not share, sell, or disclose personal or session information to third parties without your explicit written consent. Your trust is the foundation of our practice.

Mandatory Disclosure — Rare Exceptions

While we honour confidentiality in all circumstances, we are professionally and legally required to share information in the following exceptional situations:

  • Where there is an imminent and serious risk of harm to you or to another person.
  • Where disclosure of abuse involving a minor or vulnerable individual is made or reasonably suspected.
  • Where we receive a lawful order from a court or other competent legal authority.

In each such case, we will inform you wherever possible and will share only the minimum information required.

Session Recordings

Sessions are not recorded under any circumstances without your prior explicit written consent. Clinical notes are maintained solely for therapeutic continuity and are stored securely. You may request access to your own records at any time by writing to us.

Screening Results by Email

If you ask for your free screening result by email, we use your email address to send that result from admin@roohmindcare.com. A copy of the email, including your address and the result in it, is kept in the Sent folder of that Google Workspace mailbox, as with any email we send. Your answers stay on your device: only the screening name and total score are sent to our server to write the email. You can ask us to delete the email at any time, as described below.

Your Data — Storage & Deletion

Personal information collected during intake and booking is used exclusively for delivering clinical services. Data is stored in a secure manner consistent with professional standards and in compliance with DPDP Act, 2023 and IT Act, 2000. All data related to bookings is stored and processed within India only. Booking data is processed securely through our own client portal over an SSL-encrypted connection. We do not store your card, UPI, or banking credentials, CVV, or full card numbers at any time. All bookings are processed via a secure, encrypted checkout. You have the right to request deletion of your personal data at any time by writing to contact@roohmindcare.com (Policy matters) or hello@roohmindcare.com (General enquiry), and we will action such requests promptly.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

We deeply value your time and ours. By confirming a booking with Rooh Mind Care, you agree to the terms below, which are designed to be fair and transparent for all.

Cancellation & No-Show

  • Minimum 24 hours' notice is required for all cancellations. Please notify your therapist at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment.
  • Late cancellations: Clients will be charged the full session fee for any appointment cancelled with fewer than 24 hours' notice.
  • No-shows: Clients who do not attend their scheduled session without any prior notice will be charged the full session fee.
  • Emergencies: A one-time emergency may be considered as an exception. All emergencies will be reviewed and decided on a case-by-case basis at the therapist's discretion.

Welcome Offer (WELCOME10)

New clients get 10% off their first individual session with one of our psychologists, or their first consultation with our psychiatrist. It does not apply to sessions with our Senior Clinical Psychologists, including the Founder. The coupon WELCOME10 is applied automatically at checkout, and you can untick it if you prefer to keep it for later. One welcome offer per person, matched by email and mobile number. Not valid with packages, couples or family sessions, or assessments. Discounts never stack: one welcome offer or one package, not both.

Late Arrivals

  • Clients who arrive late will not be granted an extension beyond their originally scheduled session time, in order to respect the appointments of other clients.
  • No reduction in fees will be made for shortened sessions resulting from a client's late arrival.

Repeated Missed Appointments

  • If a client misses two appointments, the therapist reserves the right to terminate services. This decision will be communicated respectfully and directly.

Termination of Services

  • Either the client or the therapist may end therapy at any time.
  • Client's right: Your participation in therapy is entirely voluntary. You are free to discontinue services at any time without obligation.
  • Therapist-initiated termination: Your therapist may discuss termination if they assess that you are no longer benefiting from therapy, or if a conflict in professional values arises.
  • Referrals: Should you wish to continue counselling elsewhere, or if termination is initiated by the therapist, a referral to a suitably qualified professional will be provided to ensure continuity of your care.

Refund Policy

We aim to be fair and straightforward about refunds. Please review the criteria below to understand when refunds are applicable.

When Refunds Are Available

  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled session — full refund, processed within 7–10 business days.
  • Technical failure on our part that prevents session delivery — full refund or a complimentary rescheduling, at your preference.
  • Duplicate or erroneous charges arising from a payment or booking error — the excess amount is refunded in full within 5 business days.

Non-Refundable Circumstances

  • No-show or non-attendance without prior notice.
  • Cancellations with fewer than 24 hours' notice (the full fee is retained).
  • Sessions that have already commenced, even in part.
  • Dissatisfaction with session outcomes — we warmly encourage you to raise any concerns directly so we may address them.
  • Deep Assessment report fees once the assessment has been conducted and the report prepared.

Package Refunds & Cancellation

You may end a package and request a refund on the unused portion at any time. You do not need to give a reason, and no documentation is required.

How the refund is worked out. A package is priced at a discount because several sessions are booked together. When a package ends early that discount no longer applies to the sessions you did attend, so those are recalculated at the standard single-session fee for the professional you saw. Whatever remains of what you paid is refunded to you.

Worked example. You buy a 4-session package with a Senior Clinical Psychologist for ₹9,500₹13,000 ($130) and attend one session. That session is recalculated at the standard fee of ₹2,500₹3,500 ($35), and ₹7,000₹9,500 ($95) is refunded.

Sessions already attended, sessions cancelled with fewer than 24 hours' notice, and Deep Assessment reports already prepared are treated as utilised and are not refundable. If the recalculated value of the sessions you attended equals or exceeds what you paid, there will be no balance left to refund.

Therapeutic Fit & Alternatives

If a client feels that the therapeutic approach or professional fit is not working for them, they may discuss suitable alternatives available through Rooh Mind Care. Depending on availability and clinical suitability, this may include exploring another psychologist, a different therapeutic approach, or another appropriate support option.

Therapeutic outcomes are not guaranteed, and no refund is offered on sessions already attended. Our emphasis is on therapeutic fit, continuity of care and finding the right support for you — but if you would rather stop than switch, the unused portion of your package is refundable as set out above.

How to Request a Refund

Please write to hello@roohmindcare.com with your booking details, payment reference number, and reason for the request. For any policy-related queries, write to contact@roohmindcare.com. Eligible refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days of approval.

Terms & Conditions

By accessing this website or booking any service with Rooh Mind Care, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before using our services.

Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Rooh Mind Care website and the booking of any therapy, counselling, assessment, or related service offered by Rooh Mind Care, led by Anamika Rawlani (RCI Reg. A39595). By using this website or booking a session, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms, along with our Privacy & Confidentiality, Cancellation, Refund, and Legal Disclaimer policies, which are incorporated by reference.

About Our Services

Rooh Mind Care provides individual, couples, and adolescent therapy, psychological assessments, and related mental wellness services, delivered in person and/or online. Services are provided by qualified, RCI-registered professionals within the scope of their registration. Details of specific services and pricing are set out on this website and may be updated from time to time.

Eligibility

Our services are intended for individuals who are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement. Where a client is a minor, services will only be provided with the informed consent and involvement of a parent or legal guardian, as required by applicable law and professional guidelines.

Booking & Payments

  • Sessions must be booked in advance through the channels made available on this website (including WhatsApp, email, or online payment).
  • Fees for services are as displayed at the time of booking. Every session and package is paid in full at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Fees for clients outside India are shown in rupees at ₹100 to the dollar, with the US dollar amount in brackets.
  • Assessments are paid in two parts: 50% at booking and 50% before the report is released. Assessments carry no welcome offer or package discount.
  • Discounts never stack: a booking can use one welcome offer or one package, not both.
  • Students, and anyone aged 60 or over, get 15% off a single session with one of our psychologists or a Senior Clinical Psychologist, on request on WhatsApp with a student ID or an ID showing their age. It does not combine with the welcome offer or package prices. Reduced fees are also available on request for clients facing financial difficulty, arranged privately on WhatsApp.
  • Existing clients keep their current fees for 6 months from 6 October 2026, or until their current package ends if that is later. Prepaid packages are honoured in full.
  • All bookings are processed through Rooh Mind Care's own secure client portal over an SSL-encrypted connection. Payments are handled by Razorpay, an RBI-authorised, PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. Rooh Mind Care does not store your card, UPI, banking credentials, CVV, or any sensitive payment data. All transactions are in INR, with no additional shipping charges as services are delivered online/in-person.
  • A confirmed booking is subject to our Cancellation and Refund policies, set out in the tabs above.

Use of This Website

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of this site by, any third party. You may view and download content for personal, non-commercial use only, and may not reproduce, distribute, or modify it without prior written permission.

No Guarantee of Outcomes

Therapy and counselling outcomes depend on many factors, including individual engagement and circumstances. While our practitioners work to the best professional standard, Rooh Mind Care does not guarantee specific results from any session, assessment, or programme.

Therapy Packages

Package validity begins from the date of package purchase. A 4-session package is valid for 6 months, an 8-session package for 8 months, and a 16-session package for 12 months.

Packages are intended to make continued care simpler and more affordable. They are not a prescribed course of treatment. The appropriate duration and frequency of therapy are determined collaboratively with the psychologist, based on the client's individual needs.

EMI Facility

EMI is offered as an additional payment facility and is not a discount. The monthly figures shown on this website are indicative estimates based on a 12-month tenure. Actual credit-card EMI, interest, GST and applicable processing or other fees may vary depending on the respective card issuer and applicable terms, and the figures shown are not the exact amount a client will necessarily be charged.

EMI or instalment facilities are not offered by all card issuers and may not be available in every country. Eligibility is determined by the client's card issuer, not by Rooh Mind Care.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date, and continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
